Not content with conquering land, air and space, The Virgin Group this week revealed their latest billionaire play toy the Necker Nymph. The hydrobatic sub is controlled by one of three pilots and is capable of gliding on the water’s surface or utilizing downward ‘lift’ on the wings for underwater flight. Dives last up to two hours offering a thrilling underwater experience.
The 3-person aero submarine is the smallest and lightest submersible available today, and was designed specifically for operation from yachts or shore. Part of the Virgin Limited Edition luxury portfolio, the sub is exclusively available to guests of Necker Island or when chartering the luxury 105 foot Necker Belle catamaran.
Built by Hawkes Ocean Technologies the Necker Nymph is a high performance, positively buoyant “open cockpit” submersible configured for safety, comfort and serves to extend the overall capabilities of scuba.
