LiKuid Nation (LKDN) SS2010

North Carolina based streetwear brand Likuid Nation (LKDN) is dedicated to the artsy, hip-hopping, skate boarding, sneaker craving connoisseur who is thirsty for something different and exclusive at an affordable price. The brand recently gave a sneak peek of their 2010 Spring/Summer T-shirt collection featuring logo tees and whimsical graphics, The collection debuts next month at the Magic Trade Show (February 16th – 18th). LEGO Blind-Boxed

LEGO is dipping its toes into the designer collectible toy market with the release of their first blind-boxed mini figure series launching this June. Series 1 features 16 unique, cleverly designed characters packed in random assortment and is expected to retail for around $2USD. At such a budget friendly pricepoint, this is a guaranteed hit! And you can expect a frenzy to ensue as its being reported that each figure has a unique printing and or accessory unavailable anywhere else in the LEGO universe.

Haitian Sunrise


As the global community continues to band together in support of the crisis in Haiti, The guys over at T-Shirt Society have turned to their creative talents as a means of giving back as well as promoting continued awareness to raise some funds for the cause. They've designed the Hatian Sunrise T-shirt, which you can own for $15USD (10$ of which goes towards the Red Cross' Hatian Relief Effort).

Mercedes-Benz Artistic Automobile Design



The 2010 North American Internation Autoshow kicked off this week in Detroit. As opposed to displaying the traditional concept car, Mercedes-Benz has unveiled this ornate automobile sculpture which foreshadows the next generation CLS 4-door coupe. The sculpture represents an aesthetic, stylish and emotional design and breaks away from the traditional Mercedes-Benz shape utilizing flowing form and sharply defined contours. A fully fleshed out concept is expected to debut later this year.


On the Newsstand

WUW Magazine has undergone a makeover and have re-christened themself ARTBOX Magazine. The first issue under the new moniker is expected to hit newsstands any day now and is promised to be the same little book of ideas, just with a new name.

Iron Man Gets Some Sleek New Armor

MARVEL has provided a sneak peek at Iron Man's new armor debuting this April in “Invincible Iron Man #25”. Conceived by the series writer Matt Fraction and designer on the “Iron Man” and “Thor” films Ryan Meinerding. The duo have come up with what is being heralded as the next evolutionary step in Iron Man's design
— a sleeker, leaner, tougher, lighter, ergonomic and aerodynamic Iron Man.

The “Life Size” Gundam Shall Rise AGAIN!

To celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Gundam last summer,
a 59-foot-tall "life size" Gundam statue was built and displayed for two months in Tokyo's Odaiba's Shiokaze Park. Japanese news source Japan Today, is reporting that the statue will rise again this summer and be on display against the backdrop of the iconic
Mt. Fuji in the central city of Shizuoka.

May the Force be with you



Without a doubt the Star Wars franchise is no stranger to merchandising. For their latest collaboration, Lucasfilm Ltd. has joined forces with adidas Originals for the release of the adidas Originals Star Wars collection for 2010.


The collection for the first season is broken down into three packs, with each pack drawing inspiration from iconic aspects in the Star Wars universe meshed with the classic adidas Originals silhouettes. The pieces are expected to hit adidas Originals stores and other select retailers this month. And a very special web application promoting the release is expected any day now.
